Rob had an overnighter at his syndicate water and his exploits about ten days before were rewarded with a nice 23lb 4oz common.
About ten days earlier Rob had decided to do some pre-baiting and on arriving used the rowing boat rather than spend time putting out three kilos of bait from the shore, all went fine until he returned and moored the boat.
He put the boat stern first into some brambles, threw the oars, bait bucket etc on the bank, held onto the mooring rope and put his right leg on the bank, this then pushed the boat away from the brambles and when he placed his left leg on what he thought was land there was none there, he then proceeded to fall backwards into about six feet of water. Thankfully he managed to scramble out but it took his phone 24 hours to dry out and work again, his wallet was destroyed and he had to drive home in just his boxers and boots (not a pretty site). We have all been there at some point in out fishing careers, but I think most of us would have liked to be there to see it.
I think a set of water wings is order for Christmas Rob.
