Phil, Les and Dobbo spent a day at Crystal Lakes, although they were informed that swims 17, 18 and 19 were free, it was in fact sims 18, 19 and 20 that were available as swim 17 had been filled.

All three set of with various tactics and it was Les that secured the first fish a nice 11lb common, this started the day with a lot of expectation but it was not to be as no other fish were caught. There were a good number of fish cruising the area but were not interested in floaters, zigs or bottom baits.

After discussions with other anglers it was thought that the fish had gone off the feed due to heavy angling pressure over the weekend as every swim on the lake had been occupied.

Something to remember for future DO NOT FISH this venue on a Monday if possible.
