Rob and Dobbo decided to fish McGreggor for the carp, Rob was only gong to have a short session and Dave was hoping to join them later.

Dobbo was first to arrive and had agreed to meet Rob at the second car park on the railway side of the lake, on getting out of the car he was called over by another angler and asked to photograph and nice Mirror Carp weighing just under 20lb, it was caught tight to the bushes on the small island on a pink tuti fruiti pop up.

Rob arrived just as Dobbo had got back to the car and they chose their respective swims, whilst setting up Rob wandered over to Dobbo to inform him he had left his club book in his pike basket and he did not want to take the chance in case a bailiff came to check on them. A very short session indeed for Rob he didn’t even get a rod in the water. Before he went he and Dobbo discussed the best tactics too try and pinch a carp.

Despite his best efforts, the day proved to be unsuccessful, also Dave didn’t manage to make it down to the to the lake due to other commitments, not a bad shout as it turned out.

Dobbo is hoping to visit McGreggor next Tuesday with Les and Wednesday with Rob, lets hope they all have better luck than today.
