Dobbo decided to fish Offord but with very little success, he found out later that the place was rammed the day before (Sunday) with Pike anglers which was most probably down to the Facebook post earlier in the week. This may even be worse next weekend as there has been a Youtube video released showing the location, the swim and the 17lb pike that was caught a few days before.
Dobbo started in the New Cut and fished the swim next to the weir for a couple of hours before going upstream in search of new swims, this also proved unsuccessful so he decided to fish the channel below the lock. On his way he met Jack who had fished next to him last week, and he had caught 2 jack pike, in the swim next to the weir on live bait, looks as this is bait to use in that swim.
His efforts in the lock channel were rewarded with jack pike falling to smelt. Thankfully not a blank again. He was hoping that travel restrictions may be eased a little to allow him to fish the fens before the 14th March but that looks unlikely, so it will have to be local for now, most probably try sections A, B and C on Wednesday at Offord, then somewhere with Dave on Friday.
