Dobbo @ Offford

Dobbo fished the New Cut at Offord, only took one float rod to use roving tactics.

He started at the first swim next to the weir pool for the first hour before moving to next swim to the right. After about 30 mins the float moved away which resulted in a nice looking jack pike.

As Dobbo was putting the pike back another pike angler (Jack) arrived and asked if the swim he had just left was free, to which he replied yes.

Dobbo then used his roving tactics for a few more swims to the right resulting in one missed run before returning to the second swim where he caught earlier.

Ironically Jack who dropped into the swim Dobbo had vacated finished with 7 pike, 2 about 8 to 9lb, 1 about 6lb and the other 4 around 4lb, all falling to roach live bait.

Dobbo did manage another pike of around 8lb falling to a joey mackerel late on, giving 2 pike and 1 missed run on the day.

First swim in the New Cut which produced 7 pike on the day all to live bait.
