When Dobbo fished Moggerhanger 2 days previous he had noticed a few fish topping and a swirl near the barrel in the lake.

On arriving at the lake he set up at the barrel end and float fished roach dead bait. after about 30 minutes he managed to land a nice 11lb 7oz pike near the barrel which he thought looked like the one Rob had caught a few weeks ago.. Unfortunately it has been caught by some one else and a treble was deep in its gut, Dobbo tried to remove the hook but to no avail, it really needs two so hopefully it will be caught again and they may be more successful.

As the fish was getting stressed no pics were taken, on the positive side the fish swam away strongly so let's hope it's okay.

With no more runs or enquiries he decided to move to the bay swim and had a pick up, although the fish was on, it dropped the bait and once retrieved it could be clearly seen that the pike had missed one of the hooks by a few millimetres. with no more runs or enquiries he decided to finish for the day.

Second swim fished, had a run but no kook up.
