Dobbo went to fish the Great Ouse at Offord but the river was running too hard, the lock gates were still open, and the Cut was almost impossible to get to, so he decided to try Gingerbread again even though both he and Rob blanked there two days previous.

It was still very wet underfoot but he started to fish in the Deep Fence swim (Danny’s favourite) but had nothing in the first coup[e of hours so moved one peg to the left.

After a couple of hours had one fish 14lb 13oz to a roach dead bait close in by the tree on the left.

A very lean and long fish that saved a blank.
